Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Systems Engineering Manager plays a key role throughout all phases of product life cycle. This role will lead a group of systems engineers to drive productization of our next generation reticle inspection system.

In this role, the successful candidate needs to have great interpersonal skills to work with multi-functional teams, division management, and external partners and customers.

Primary responsibilities:

Manage a team of systems design engineers. Team responsibilities include:

  • CIP design engineering activities to enhance product robustness. This includes supporting development activities that enhance reliability and sensitivity of the system, improve automation and system up-time, and expand the application domain of the product.

  • When necessary, support system related escalations from beta site teams.

  • Drive the system aspect of transfer of skills and documentation to the manufacturing and the field service teams.

  • Drive development of the next generation product that is leveraged from the existing technology.

    • Draft-out and align with the sr. management team on a strategy and roadmap.

    • Coordinate and lead the corresponding advanced hardware development teams.

    • Track, communicate and manage progress of this effort and lead it to success.

Minimum requirements:

  • In-depth experience with particle beam physics, electron optics or SEM technology and their related instrumentation is highly desirable. Strong command of general physics, math and basic computational skills are also highly desirable.

  • 10 or more years of experience with system engineering development of complex Semiconductor system.

  • 5 or more years of proven successful people management track record.

  • About 20% global travel will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) or work experience of 3 years , Master's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 10 years.
