Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer Lead to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) GEOINT Dissemination Task Order on the FS2 Contract. This individual will bring seasoned leadership and systems engineering experience to manage and modernize on-prem and cloud-based dissemination environments. The ideal candidate will have the technical acumen, Agile experience, and strategic communication skills necessary to lead integration, operations, and sustainment efforts across security domains, and development teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a lead engineer guiding the integration, operations, sustainment, and DevSecOps deployment of complex dissemination systems (Gateway, Tile Generation, EFD).
Interface with senior NGA stakeholders to communicate priorities, milestones, risk mitigations, and system performance updates.
Collaborate with Agile Release Trains and Government Product Owners to groom backlogs, manage dependencies, and track deliverables through SAFe Agile workflows.
Lead and contribute to readiness reviews (TRR/ORR), configuration control boards, and technical exchange meetings.
Oversee system performance optimization, baseline management, and metric tracking across both on-prem and cloud environments.
Coordinate and deconflict technical requirements across mission partners, leveraging strong background in systems engineering artifacts and process discipline.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have an active Top Secret to be considered and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance prior to start and willingness and ability to obtain a Polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Information Technology Management, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field
12 years of systems engineering experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree, including NGA and DoD programs
Demonstrated leadership in Agile environments supporting requirements analysis, configuration management, and integration activities
Experience briefing senior leadership, authoring technical documentation, and managing performance deliverables
Experience with systems lifecycle activities including testing, IV&V, and system administration
Familiarity with NGA dissemination capabilities such Gateway systems
SAFe Agile Certified; experience supporting backlog management and Release Planning Events
Strong knowledge of engineering boards, CM processes, and business intelligence/data alignment strategies
Ability to lead a team, mentor junior team members, and drive technical projects.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication skills, with experience in presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS cloud services and environments
Familiarity with NGA’s Confluence, JIRA, and DevSecOps pipeline environments
Prior experience supporting NGA requirements transformation initiatives from documents to digital environments
Strong understanding of GEOINT product lifecycle, architecture alignment, and metadata/ingest management

Pay Range:Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
