Leidos Chief Information Office Services (CIO Services) is the internal Information Technology (IT) delivery arm of Leidos, serving both the 50,000 Leidos employees globally and the customers that Leidos supports. CIO Hosting Services team is seeking a Systems Engineering & Agile Intern who will learn CIO Services capabilities to apply them in ways to boost productivity across engineering teams. Successful candidate will also leverage their technical background / knowledge to advance Leidos’ practice areas using AI capabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to get firsthand knowledge and technical experience within Leidos, and this is position is based out of Leidos’ office in Orlando, FL.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research AI for Employee Productivity: Explore how Generative AI (GenAI) can assist employees in daily tasks, engineering workflows, and Agile practices.
- Support Agile Teams: Help track tasks, participate in Agile ceremonies, and learn how teams use Jira and Confluence to manage work.
- Assist in AI Implementation: Work with the team to test GenAI-powered tools, document their effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
- Help with Dashboards & Reports: Assist in creating simple dashboards that showcase how AI improves productivity and efficiency.
- Gather & Analyze Data: Collect feedback and analyze trends on AI adoption, Agile productivity, and employee experience.
- Create Documentation: Help develop training materials, best practice guides, and reports on AI-driven improvements.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with engineers, IT professionals, and business teams to understand how AI can enhance their workflows.
- Other relevant tasks as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in college with an expected graduation date no later than May 2027.
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Agile methodologies, and Systems Engineering.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or other common business tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Eager to learn about AI-driven productivity tools and Agile teamwork.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business with an interest in IT systems and operations, and exploring a future career in IT leadership, Systems Engineering Management, or Digital Transformation.
- Curious about how Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) can help improve team workflows, productivity, and Agile collaboration.
- Interest in learning about Agile principles, how teams deliver work using Jira and Confluence, and how large-scale projects are managed.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools like ChatGPT or similar apps to support learning, research, or productivity.

Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
