The Opportunity

Allegro MicroSystems is a global leader in high-performance semiconductors, providing innovative sensing and power solutions for the most demanding automotive and industrial applications. As we continue to expand our European R&D footprint, we are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join our team in Prague, Czech Republic.

In this role, you will be the technical link between our advanced silicon designs and our customers’ cutting-edge applications. You will collaborate with global teams to define product architectures, validate sensor behavior, and ensure our solutions deliver maximum value in the field.

 

What You Will Do

As a Systems Engineer, you will own the technical success of our products through the following activities:

  • Product Definition: Work closely with design engineers, marketing, and field sales to translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and architectures for the automotive and industrial markets.

  • Algorithm Validation: Define and validate sensor algorithm behavior through functional simulations to ensure performance targets are met.

  • Laboratory Verification: Design and execute application-based testing in our Prague laboratory to verify IC performance under real-world conditions.

  • Silicon Evaluation: Lead the evaluation of new silicon, including the design of custom hardware and software setups for bench testing.

  • Technical Documentation: Champion the creation of high-quality datasheets, application notes, and reference designs that enable our customers to secure major design wins.

  • Test Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with test engineering to ensure that final production test strategies accurately reflect the needs of the end-customer application.

  • Customer Support: Provide strategic technical support to industry-leading customers, helping them integrate Allegro sensors into their systems.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Technical Knowledge: A strong foundation in both Analog and Digital electronics.

  • Laboratory Skills: Familiarity with standard test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and voltage/current meters.

  • Hardware Prototyping: Ability to design and build basic hardware setups, including data acquisition systems, custom cabling, and hand-soldered application boards.

  • Software & Programming: Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and programming skills in C or C#.

  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical data to cross-functional teams.

  • Tools: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Aptitude: A strong team player with a desire to learn and a "One Allegro" mindset for global collaboration

Skills Required
