Role Overview:
As a Systems Engineer - Digital Collaboration, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services, email security gateways, migration tools, and IT service management platforms.
The role ensures seamless collaboration, secure communication, and efficient service delivery across the organization's digital ecosystem.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Administer and manage all Microsoft 365 tenant services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, and security/compliance center.
Monitor service health, capacity, performance, and incidents through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Service Health Dashboard.
Implement identity and access management (IAM) integrations - including Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO.
Manage licenses, roles, and permissions via Microsoft 365 Admin and Entra ID.
Apply and monitor compliance policies, retention labels, DLP, and eDiscovery configurations.
Support and maintain hybrid Exchange infrastructure, ensuring synchronization and mail routing reliability
Lead and support tenant-to-tenant migration projects, including data migration and post-migration validation.
Utilize Quest migration tools (e.g., On Demand Migration, Migration Manager) for mailbox, Teams, and SharePoint migrations.
Configure and maintain Microsoft Teams collaboration, chat, meetings, and telephony.
Coordinate service updates and change management, ensuring minimal disruption during feature rollouts.
Document configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide Tier 2/3 support for M365-related escalations.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure governance, data protection, and audit readiness.
IT Service Management (FreshService & ServiceNow):
Provide Level 2 support and assist Level 1 teams for Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and email gateway tickets.
Ensure timely resolution of tickets and adherence to SLA requirements.
Maintain ticket hygiene and perform knowledge transfer sessions for L1 teams.
Document solutions, update knowledge base articles, and create runbooks.
Monitor and analyze ticket trends to identify recurring issues and propose preventive measures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 Administration (i.e. Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, OneDrive, etc...).
Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with Proofpoint Email Gateway and Quest Migration tools.
Working knowledge of Fresh Service and/or ServiceNow platforms.
Good understanding of security and compliance principles related to email and collaboration systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (MS-203) or equivalent.
Experience in tenant-to-tenant migrations and hybrid Exchange environments.
Design and maintain Power Automate workflows for business automation.
