Systems Engineer – DCGS-N Support

Mission Overview
Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the Distributed Common Ground System–Navy (DCGS-N) Family of Systems (FoS) in North Charleston, SC. DCGS-N is the Navy’s premier Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) processing system. In this role, you will contribute to the automation of intelligence software testing within PMW 120’s Systems Engineering Division. The ideal candidate will have administrator-level understanding in n-tier enterprise application, architecture, and a strong aptitude for following detailed installation and integration procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze system functions and document interfaces to support integration, testing, and quality assurance.
Translate manual test procedures into automated test cases for System Operational Verification Tests (SOVTs) and Information Assurance (IA) mitigations.
Integrate, script, configure, and document software tools tailored to specific DCGS-N requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant IT experience (additional experience, training, or certifications may substitute for degree).
Demonstrated experience in research, design, testing, and development of computer/network software or specialized utility programs, including database maintenance.
Proficiency in modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps).
U.S. Citizenship; Currently possessing an Active TS/SCI clearance.
Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
Minimum of 4 years supporting design, testing, deployment, or operations of DCGS-N or other C4ISR programs.
Experience with full software development lifecycle using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
Familiarity with DevOps tools for automation (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, BMC).
Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification.
Hands-on experience with VMware, Linux, Windows PC, and Windows Server environment.
Ability to travel up to 25%, including possible periods of being underway aboard U.S. Navy ships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology).
Experience with Dell Windows Servers and NetApp storage solutions.
Familiarity with MS Windows, Windows Server (2008 R2–2019), VMware (vCenter, vSphere, ESXi), and MS Hyper-V.
Prior experience in COMPOSE, ISNS, or CANES environments.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a team of highly skilled professionals.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
