The Role
Description

The Systems Engineer position is responsible for overseeing and managing the Company’s advanced cloud-based architecture and IT infrastructure. This role involves being highly skilled in administration and architecture for Google or AWS Cloud, ensuring the security and efficiency of systems, and driving strategic IT initiatives. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage cloud infrastructure, network, and end user systems, ensuring system security, compliance, and performance meet company requirements. 
  • Administer Azure and Office cloud services, Checkpoint Harmony SaaS, Meraki, MDM and other core enterprise applications. 
  • Support end users by acting as an escalation point for complex issues while empowering the support team through training and SOPs and documentation. 
  • Manage organizational data security through best practice and monitoring. 
  • Monitor and secure organizational data and identities. 
  • Monitor and address alerts involving security incidents, outages and updates. 
  • Develop, design, and deploy IT infrastructure and cloud-based solutions for Highspring and partners.   
  • Own patch and vulnerability management strategy and deployment through Intune and other MDM platforms. 
  • Align business requirements with the evaluation and design of modern technical solutions to ensure business and technology stakeholders’ needs are optimized. 
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into system designs. 
  • Develop and implement procedures to migrate data for M&A related activities. 
  • Develop functional models and diagrams to demonstrate system interactions. 
  • Install and configure hardware and software. 
  • Manage backup and recovery processes. 
Qualifications
  • Strong background in Microsoft Azure and Office365 suite configuration and administration. 
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud-based processes and integrations. 
  • Proven experience in standard operating systems (Windows Server, Windows 10/11, macOS, and Linux), hardware platforms (Dell, Lenovo, Apple), and networking protocols. 
  • Experience in automation; proficiency in powershell and other scripting tools. 
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard management platforms, such as MDM, security and monitoring tools,

  • Organizational savvy • Maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics. 
  • Optimizes work processes • Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. 
  • Technical skill – Strong understanding of hardware, software and networking concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • Advanced certifications related to System Administration and Google or AWS Solutions
