Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Systems Engineer. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany.
What will you do?
We would like to see a candidate that has a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining a large-scale IT System, with a focus on collaboration platforms, directory services, and file systems. Responsibilities will include Leading and participating in upgrade and migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also need to be able to provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members to promote knowledge sharing and skill development and develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, upgrades, and migrations. Other duties as assigned.
What we need to see from you:
- An active DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to meet TESA requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years (OR) Associates Degree with 7 YOE, or High School and 11 YOE.
- Proven Systems Engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, with a focus on collaboration platforms, directory services, and file systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Information Security
- Knowledge of systems engineering software tools
What we would like to see:
- Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies, such as waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to apply systems engineering principles to complex systems, including hardware, software, and firmware components.
- Understanding of system lifecycle management, including development, production, and retirement.
- Ability to deploy and configure systems, including hardware, software, and firmware components
- Knowledge of system installation and setup, including installation scripts, configuration files, and setup procedures.
- Understanding of system testing and validation, including functional testing, performance testing, and security testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including debugging, logging, and error analysis.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
