The Role:
We are seeking intermediate software engineers with a strong blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and entrepreneurial mindset to join our growing team. In this role you will be developing different forms of developer tooling, maintaining/improving internal infrastructure and build systems. You will also help to create and improve software integral to customer experiences when using our Core Server SDK product. You will have the chance to influence the software you create and the strategic decisions that guide our tech stack and development processes. We embrace innovative technologies and approaches, so a passion for learning and pushing boundaries is essential.
Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as part of our Core Operations team to both improve internal developer and customer experience through improving and creating tooling and software.
  • Manage regular release cycles with a high level of reliability.
  • Ensure that those releases are reliable via concise and automated testing. As part of this you will also create, improve and manage build systems.
  • Managing internal SDK tooling and infrastructure deployed on AWS. Conduct research and propose technical solutions for new projects.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing mentorship and supporting junior engineers.
  • Take ownership of complex systems and improvements, with responsibilities growing alongside your experience.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python development and flexibility to take on a wide range of languages such as Go, Java, C# and C++.
  • 2+ years of experience working software systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for continuous learning and innovation, staying current with emerging technologies and best practices.


Assets:

  • Understanding of build systems such as Jenkins and various software tooling such as CMake, Docker, Terraform.
  • Experience developming and managing products on multiple platforms (Mac/Linux and Windows).
  • Knowledge of AWS to help manage our internal build systems and deployed software.
  • A strong understanding of server architecture.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teams, with a flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to go beyond the status quo.

The compensation for this position is commensurate upon experience, with a range between $90,000.00- $115,000.00 CAD in on target earnings.
