Wie zoeken we?

De Systems Engineer werkt aan het ontwerp, ontwikkeling, implementatie en onderhoud van alle IT gerelateerde apparatuur en infrastructuur in ons hightech distributiecentrum. Alles van een warehouse werkstation met (label)printers, barcodescanners tot servers en storage in onze datacenters.

In deze rol is kennis van productie-infrastructuur en automatisering van groot belang.

Het team waarin je gaat werken bestaat uit 5 collega's, een teamleider en een manager.

Samen ben je verantwoordelijk voor de IT-hardware en infrastructuur binnen onze warehouses.

Je bent een duizendpoot op het gebied van ICT-technologie. Je toont initiatief, weet klantvragen te analyseren, prioriteert en communiceert op elk niveau. Dat betekent dat je goed kunt luisteren, empathie hebt en denkt in oplossingen. Je bent bereid die extra stap te zetten. Kom je er zelf niet uit, dan kun je terugvallen op de kennis en kunde van je collega's.

Technology stack:

• VMware technologies: vSphere; Clustering, Replication Services

• Printing solutions en Barcode Scanning

Wat je gaat doen:

• Ontwerp, ontwikkeling, implementatie, beheer en onderhoud van zowel Windows Server- als Linux Server-omgevingen

• Beheer en onderhoud van Backup systemen en disaster recovery oplossingen.

• Ontwerp en Installatie, maar ook deels beheer en onderhoud van magazijnwerkplekken PC's, Laptops, Mobiele Terminals, (label)printers en barcodescanners

• Zorgdragen voor continuïteit en beschikbaarheid van systeem en applicaties

• Oplossen en opvolgen van incidenten en verzoeken

• Documenteren van de verschillende systemen en processen

• Adviseren over nieuwe systemen en applicaties

• Continu verbeteren van IT-services

Wie jij bent:

• Je hebt een afgeronde ICT-opleiding op MBO+/HBO-niveau, of je hebt een gelijkwaardig niveau bereikt door middel van cursussen.

• Je hebt een brede kennis van ICT Technologie en hebt minimaal 3 jaar werkervaring in een soortgelijke functie

• Je hebt een uitstekende kennis van Windows besturingssystemen, maar ook Linux is geen vreemd OS voor jou

• Als je in het bezit bent van relevante en recente Certificeringen is dat een pré

• Je hebt kennis van virtualisatie (VMware)

• Je hebt Ervaring met Storage-omgevingen en met back-up en disaster recovery architectuur

• Je bent bekend met ITIL en het werken met ticketsystemen

• Je hebt een goede kennis van de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift

• Je bent flexibel qua werkuren aangezien sommige werkzaamheden buiten de productie uren plaatsvinden en in verband met het ploegenschema in het warehouse

• Bereid om incidenteel te reizen naar een van onze locaties binnen Europa indien nodig

• Je kunt duidelijk communiceren en presenteren aan een technisch als ook niet-technisch publiek

• Je hebt een proactieve houding en bent resultaatgericht, hebt verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en werkt nauwkeurig en accuraat

• Je bent stressbestendig en voelt je thuis in een dynamische omgeving

• Je bent leergierig en bereid om je ervaring en kennis te delen met je collega's

Who are we looking for?

The Infrastructure Systems Engineer will be designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining all IT related equipment and infrastructure in our high-tech distribution center. Everything from Warehouse Workstation with (Label) Printers, Barcode Scanners, up to Servers, and Storage in our Datacenters.

In this role a good understanding of production infrastructure and automation services will be vital.

The team you will be working in consists of 5 colleagues, a team leader, and a manager.

Together you are responsible for the IT hardware and infrastructure of our warehouses.

You are a jack-of-all-trades in the field of ICT technology. You show initiative, know how to analyze customer questions, prioritize and able to communicate on every level. This means that you can listen carefully, have empathy, and think in terms of solutions. You are prepared to take that extra step. If you cannot figure it out yourself, you can fall back on the knowledge and expertise of your colleagues.

What will you do:

• Design, development, implementation, management and maintenance of both Windows Server and Linux Server environments

• Manage and maintain Backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Design, Installation but also support maintenance of warehouse workstations PCs, Laptops, Mobile Terminals, (label) printers and barcode scanners

• Ensuring the continuity and availability of the system and applications

• Solving and following up on incidents and requests

• Documenting the various systems and processes

• Advising on new systems and applications

• Continuously improving IT services

Who you are:

• You have a completed IT education at MBO+ / HBO level, or you have reached an equivalent level through courses.

• You have a broad knowledge of ICT Technology and Networks and have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position

• You have an excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems, but Linux is no stranger to you either

• If you are in possession of relevant and recent Certifications is an advantage

• You have knowledge of virtualization (VMware)

• You have Experience with Storage environments and with back-up and disaster recovery architecture and operations

• You are familiar with ITIL and working with ticket systems

• You have good knowledge of the English language in word and writing

• You are flexible in terms of working hours as some activities take place outside production hours and due to the shift plan in the Warehouse

• Willing to travel occasionally to one of our locations within Europe if necessary

• You are comfortable communicating clearly and presenting to technical and non-technical audiences

• You have a proactive attitude and are result-oriented, with a sense of responsibility, precise and accurate

• You are stress resistant and you feel at home in a dynamic environment

• You are eager to learn, and you are prepared to share your experience and knowledge with your colleagues
