Systems Engineer

Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a diligent and proactive individual with a proven high quality work ethic to fill a mid-level Systems Engineering (SE) position to support the readiness and sustainment of the United States Air Force (USAF) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Weapon System (WS). The individual must hold a valid Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.
This role will work closely with the customer, the United States Air Force (USAF) Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), to apply SE principles and best practices to optimize WS sustainment and acquisition activities for the remainder of the system lifecycle. Qualified candidates will bring a positive attitude and high professionalism to the organization. Preference is given to applicants with Minuteman III (MMIII) experience, working knowledge of the associated sustainment activities, and a strong understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) fundamentals.
This role's responsibilities will require you:

• Utilize your knowledge of SE/MBSE processes, practices, tools, and related modeling languages and frameworks (e.g. SysML, UML, UAF) to solve complex technical problems
• Guide a program in their total MBSE development activities
• Collaborate with project teams and leadership to contribute to the development of MBSE training materials and company best practices

Positions are located at Hill Air Force Base in beautiful Northern Utah. Due to programmatic requirements this role is not conducive to regular "telework" or remote schedules.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• 7 years of directly related experience (5 years with MS degree) in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes
• 2 years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, functional and physical system architecture design, and interface definition

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with Minuteman III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program
• Experience with DOD Acquisition programs
• Proficiency in UML, SysML, and other relevant modeling languages and frameworks
• Certification in systems engineering, such as CSEP or OCSMP-MBF

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
