ETI also helps drive our Innovation Weeks at Cloudflare and contributes with new products, features, and visions for helping build a better Internet. Doing that requires all of ETI to execute on releases that customers will use today, tell our story as part of Cloudflare's larger mission, and to build products that allow Cloudflare's customers to realize that 1+1 can equal 3 when using all of these features together.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Cloudflare Workflows' team. You will work with a team of passionate, talented engineers that are building the systems that decentralize applications deployed on millions of sites, services and applications. You will play an active part in shaping product features based on what's technically possible. You will change the way people build applications. Furthermore, you will make sure our company hits our ambitious goals from an engineering standpoint.
You bring a passion for meeting business needs by building technical, innovative solutions. You excel to understand how big-picture goals inform technical details. You thrive in a fast-paced iterative engineering environment.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in software development (+3 years);
- TypeScript experience in a production system;
- Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and practices;
- Active usage of AI development tools to enhance your development workflow;
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Passion for learning and exploring new technologies;
- Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex problems;
- An operational mindset - we don't just write code, we also own it in production;
- Experience with Git.
Bonus Points:
- Projects built with the Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, Durable Objects, Queues, etc);
- Experience with Python, Rust, or Go;
- Experience building high performance distributed systems;
- Knowledge of SQL.
This role may require flexibility to be on-call outside of standard working hours to address technical issues as needed.
