Zayo is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer focusing on device management and specializing in Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, and Azure AD (Entra ID). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in configuring, deploying, and managing devices within an enterprise environment using Intune and Active Directory / Azure AD. The Systems Engineer role requires a strong understanding of modern device management practices, security protocols, packaging applications, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. This position reports to the Technical Delivery Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain device management solutions leveraging Microsoft Intune, Active Directory.
- Configuration Management: Configure and manage policies, profiles, and settings for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices using Intune.
- Application Deployment: Deploy and manage applications to end-user devices, ensuring compatibility and compliance with organizational standards.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security policies, compliance standards, and conditional access controls across all managed devices.
- Patch Management: Plan and execute patch management strategies to ensure devices are up to date with the latest software updates and security patches.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve device management issues, including connectivity issues, application deployment failures, and security compliance discrepancies.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of device management configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT support, security, and infrastructure teams, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Stay Current: Stay informed about the latest developments in device management technologies, particularly Intune and Active Directory, and recommend improvements or enhancements to existing systems.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to IT staff on device management best practices, Intune, and Active Directory functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Device Management Engineer, with a focus on Intune and Active Directory.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Microsoft Intune, including policies, profiles, and application deployment.
- Strong skill set with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and configuration tasks.
- Proficiency in Active Directory management, including Group Policy, OU structure, and AD integration with Intune and Microsoft Licensing.
- Strong understanding of modern device management concepts, including MDM, MAM, and BYOD.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security standards, and encryption protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Intune and Azure, MCSE: Mobility, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
Base Pay Range: $78,500 - 110,000, commensurate with experience.
