This position can be fully remote with preferred location at any one of our field offices throughout North America (Utah, Illinois, Ohio) with preference in a major field office – Atlanta, GA, Grand Rapids, MI, Dallas, TX, Plano, TX, or Milwaukee, WI.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,000 to $166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role
- Support early development activities (RFQ) to ensure product being sold does not exceed internal targets (throughput)
- Provide technical guidance to quote team (Timing, implementation, technical issues, standards, lessons learned and project hour estimates for SIM function)
- Development of key customer product documents - Including System specifications, test plans, and validation criteria
- Participate and approve the simulation of the design (Computer Simulation) - Ensure Product meetings as sold design criteria and proposal
- Participate in both internal and external customer meetings to ensure product being implemented meets customer specification (as sold)
- Work with the internal engineering teams on design and software
- Define & agree on interfaces between components systems - Software, mechanical systems, controls engineering, product engineering
- Provide support on site during installation of product - Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure correct install and commissioning

- Execute / support the following testing of products on site:
- Software Acceptance Testing (Factory Acceptance Testing)
- System Integration Testing
- System Throughput Testing
- System Acceptance Testing
- High volume testing (customer specific)
- Customer Vendor Qualification (as needed)
- Establish / Plan resource needs to conduct testing on site (per schedule)
- Gain customer approval on all key documents and testing plans (Pre / Post testing)
- Support Punchlist items as needed on site (quality issues, technical issues during install - Ensuring product works correctly)
- Manage / update the customer on project deliverables and testing (SIM functions and responsibilities only)
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members (Training and development)
- Other tasks as assigned within the SIM function
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor of Science / Technical Diploma - Mechanical / Electrical / Control Engineering
- Master or Advanced Degree in Engineering is considered an asset
- 7+ years’ experience in engineering with demonstrated experience in material handling industry preferred
- Functional leadership and expert communications
- Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation (test plans, customer specifications etc.)
- Ability to be customer facing, good with customer interaction
- Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who are regionally located
- Willingness to travel for extended periods based on project life cycle. Approximately 40%+ annually
