ECS is seeking a Systems Engineer – Senior to work in our Norfolk, VA office.
- Monitor, manage a VMWare Horizon View/Nutanix VDI environment, ESXi/vCenter 8
- Support third party application installations and monitoring software
- Create, update virtual template images to support Windows Server deployment, Windows 11 and Red Hat Linux VDIs
- Evaluate/Harden Windows Servers and workstations to DoD STIG standards, including installed software
- Establish system development and integration methodologies and standards
- Construct and test systems in the development environment
- Integrate and implement systems and the supporting infrastructure in the operational environment
- Monitor and analyze performance problems and recommend solutions to enhance functionality, reliability, and usability
- Develop transition strategies and plans to transition from legacy systems
- Participate in project/program management reviews and document creation
- Meet 24/7 on-call duties over weekend/holidays as-necessary
Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000

- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (2016/2019) - VMware Certified Professional (Datacenter Virtualization) - SAN Configuration and maintenance - Current Security+CE certification/8570 compliant certificate
