Credence has an immediate need for a System of Systems Architect Engineer (NAVWAR) in support the Army Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PM PNT) System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The PM PNT provides administrative, business management, programmatic contracting, information technology (IT), program management, engineering, logistics, test and evaluation (T&E), training, operations, security, technology protection, foreign military sales, and acquisition and strategic planning services to the Army director PNT systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:
- Shall provide system engineering, integration, and administration support services to PM PNT; PNT-related portions of the common operating environment (COE) initiative; and system-of-systems and modular and open systems architecture activities and technologies throughout all life cycle phases.
- Shall provide subject matter expertise in commercially available collaboration tools to permit secure, cross-functional collaboration across the program.
- Shall provide input into the development of classified and unclassified PM PNT and COE objectives, requirements analysis, strategies, schedules, documentation, business case analysis, acquisition planning, policy implementation, and achievement of milestone objectives in support of milestone decisions, COE version updates, and PNT and Army enterprise PNT architecture development.
- Shall provide the following systems engineering support services for all classified and unclassified PM PNT products: concept development; requirements analysis development and documentation; systems design and architecture; open systems architecture; adoption of consensus-based standards; ensuring publishing of key interfaces within the system and relevant design disclosure; modeling and simulation; integration, test, and evaluation; hardware and software validation; host platform integration support; and field demonstrations.
- Shall coordinate, develop, update, and document PM PNT and COE requirements; product and customer data; briefings; internal and external reporting and tracking systems; various IPTs and working groups; website and knowledge management activities; and security activities.
- Shall provide subject matter expertise and support modular and open systems architecture and designs that adopt consensus-based standards and support rapid and affordable insertion/integration and refreshment of technology through modular open design.
- Shall provide support to PNT Enterprise architecture and architecture strategy development and liaison support to PM PNT across the ASA (ALT) PEOs and related AFC stakeholders.
- Shall work with PM PNT products as well as other PNT providers, consumers, and hosts of PNT systems to facilitate cross-PEO coordination and synchronization.
- Shall participate in classified (Secret and Top Secret) meetings, as required.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and PNT to support program architecture development.
- Create, modify, and review engineering and acquisition documentation to meet program milestone requirements.
- Attend product, platform, vendor, and client meetings and reviews; provide assessment of vendor progress and input to the assistant product manager on solutions to technical problems within the program.
- Provide technical input and recommendations for system design to program leads and external support organizations to align with program requirements, operational needs, and program constraints.
- Interface with external stakeholder organizations that contribute to the product’s system-of-systems approach.
- Update program documentation and briefings to incorporate technical information and strategies.
Requirements
Education, Requirements, and Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of an active or current Secret security clearance verifiable in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), but preferably a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
- Level III: A bachelor’s degree in engineering or systems engineering (or equivalent) with seven (7) years’ experience or a master's degree with five (5) years’ experience in DoW/DoD systems of systems engineering.
- Position required to build the architecture for NAVWAR Attack, provide subject matter expertise on EW/SIGINT, and support Acquisition activities
- Highly preferred: Expert level experience with Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Highly preferred: Expert level experience working with Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Systems Engineering
- OR other related Army PNT technologies
