As a Mission Architect – Level 3 or Level 4 located in Colorado Springs, CO, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The Systems Engineering role will work as a mission operations liaison for the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP). The successful candidate will work closely with the mission operations team and the factory engineering team to ensure successful program execution. The candidate will support & coordinate with system integration efforts to validate system updates and enhancements are fully integrated and tested for the operational environment. The candidate will travel to and work closely with the spacecraft and ground factory teams during development, integration and test activities.
The candidate will work with a geographically distributed and cross-discipline team and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse community of customers, end users, engineers, developers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. This position will primarily work from a customer facility, and requires regular CONUS travel to various NG and other locations (up to 25%).
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Systems analyses and trades
- Engineering baseline management
- Interface management
- Requirements/V&V management
- Subcontractor technical oversight
- Deficiency report creation and tracking
- Preparing/presenting SE material at major reviews, PMRs and interfacing with the customer and SETAs on mission and operational technical issues.
- Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
