Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 3 or 4 to support a program out of our Aurora, CO location.
What You’ll get to Do:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance. Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel.

This requisition may be filled as either a level 3 or a level 4.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 1 year of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph
- Experience in systems engineering, requirements, test plan/strategy
- Strong written and oral communications skills
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph
- Experience in systems engineering, requirements, test plan/strategy
- Strong written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with poly
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) / Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and approach
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other STEM-related degree with relevant experience (Level 3: 5 years; Level 4: 8 years). Alternatives: Master's (3/6 years) or PhD (1/4 years).
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
- Experience in systems engineering, requirements development, and test plan/strategy.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph (preferred).
- Experience with JIRA.
