Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.
- Practical knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with networking protocols, hardware/software interface issues, and system/subsystem integration.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in systems engineering, cybersecurity, and computer networking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve hardware/software interface issues effectively, as well as identify capability gaps.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of system integration lab operation to include hardware in the loop (HWIL) design
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment, automation, and monitoring
- Experience with virtualized and containerized environment architecture, setup, administration and deployment (e.g., vSphere, Proxmox, RHEL KVM, OpenShift)
- ISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ Certification
- Familiar with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB.
- Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to, requirements management, MBSE.
- Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)/Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)].
- Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies.
- Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Agile methodologies and Scrum Master certification.
