Job Summary:
The Systems Engineer III is responsible for providing technical guidance, training and work direction to less experienced engineers.
Essential Functions:
- Develop new program, systems and/or computing infrastructure
- Identify and document business requirements for new development projects and prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs or infrastructure can be built
- Lead service support activities and initiatives
- Lead or work on the company's most complex projects
- Ability to break down and communicate complex concepts in manageable parts for successful execution by teams and team members
- Coordinate vendor relationships and commitments on project involvement/deliverables
- Design and implement systematic approaches and alternatives
- Conduct preliminary studies to define needs and determine feasibility
- Confer with clients and analyze business/functional requirements.
- Develop procedures for moving program changes, enhancements, etc. into IT production processing
- Understand and relate business/functional requirements to application/infrastructure requirements
- Initiate and lead support activities including problem analysis, technical evaluation, work estimates and implementation services
- Coordinate support or project activities with all applicable constituents including customers using the systems, IT staff supporting the systems, vendors/third parties, and/or business managers
- Identify and lead, as assigned, resources and communications to facilitate work completion
- Train and provide guidance to new IT team members to assist them in orientation to policies, procedures and responsibilities
- Serve as an escalation point for system engineers to escalate problems and inquiries requiring further evaluation beyond the associated skill level
- Represent IT in project and/or business meeting and engagements
- Lead conference calls or visits with vendors/third parties
- Introduce new customers to IT services to assist in familiarizing them with appropriate systems, services, policies and procedures
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in medium to large operating environment required
- Minimum of two (2) years of programming or system analysis experience required
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications required

Compensation Range:
$81,400.00 - $130,200.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
