Summary of This Role

Responsible for analyzing business-critical services availability and performance to ensure optimal processing efficiency to support the enterprise. Works closely with IT Technical and Application Support teams in identifying and resolving processing issues. Performs RCA (root-cause analysis) and delivers solutions to implement corrective action. Creates and maintains various analytical reports utilized by both technical and business owners. Supports all Business Continuity activities. Provides operational support for all activities to support monitoring tools from administration, patching, upgrades to incident management.

What Part Will You Play?
  • Administers, creates, and interprets reporting of business metrics and takes appropriate tuning action as necessary across the enterprise to provide processing performance reports for Senior and Executive Management. Develops and maintains predictive modeling tools to enhance performance related to scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of production applications by proactively assessing processing performance and future client needs. 
  • Develops and administers automation tools, products, applications, and business processes to increase productivity, eliminate duplications, and coordinate information requirements. Provides technical advice to all levels of management and team members on interpretation/ development/ revision of policies and procedures. 
  • Work in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, training, communications and stakeholders to ensure smooth "go live" when new systems or processes are moved to production. 
  • Recommend continual service improvement opportunities to enhance run-time optimization and work with the business/ application team to remedy issues. Recommend, develop and maintain complex analytical tools utilizing statistical data to identify opportunities for improvement and consistency across all environments. 
  • Lead operational support for all Business Continuity activities and conversion/ deconversion activities. 
  • Maintain a continuous line of communications, keeping internal partners informed of all critical issues. Representing the company externally as necessary. 

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Electrical and/or Computer Science, other majors considered. additional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically No Related Experience Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant Operations experience with MicroFocus OpenView/OMi/OpsBridge, NNMi, SolarWinds, UCMDB, Splunk, SiteScope, Nagios, LogicMonitor, CA Suite, BMC or IBM suite of products.
What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?
  • LogicMonitor,/CA Suite/SolarWinds experience desired

  • MicroFocus OMi/Openview experience desired

  • Some experience with Perl, Python desired
