Job Description
The Systems Engineer II is responsible for developing, modifying and coding Inductive Automation’s systems infrastructure. They work on implementing and designing information systems and monitoring system performance. The Systems Engineer II works on delivering technical input to the system engineering process; while troubleshooting and fixing problems regarding current procedures or systems. This is a full-time position with remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities available. Candidates must live in California.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and monitoring installed systems and infrastructure, including CRM
- Implementing code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others
- Implementing, modifying, and designing information systems
- Evaluating and monitoring the performance of Inductive Automation’s information systems
- Installing and configuring system management tools
- Collaborating with other systems engineers to troubleshoot or fix problems with the current systems
- Building solutions to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Database experience (Postgres, SQL, mySQL)
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu Server and Desktop)
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experienced with Python
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
