Position Overview

Cubic Digital Intelligence is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as the primary on-site technical representative for a secure data-management and dissemination project supporting a U.S. Government customer.

The successful candidate will coordinate deployment, integration, testing, and operational support while acting as the principal technical liaison between the customer and Cubic’s engineering team. This role requires strong systems-engineering experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to resolve issues in a complex, mission-focused environment.

This position is contingent upon contract award, funding, and customer approval.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for the customer.
  • Coordinate requirements, design, deployment, integration, testing, and operational-readiness activities.
  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements, engineering tasks, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the deployment and operation of secure, distributed enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate with software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, test, and program-management teams.
  • Troubleshoot application, data, interface, configuration, connectivity, and performance issues.
  • Monitor system health and coordinate timely resolution of technical problems.
  • Support security, configuration-management, documentation, and authorization activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, issue logs, test records, and status reports.
  • Conduct demonstrations, knowledge-transfer sessions, and technical briefings.
  • Communicate technical risks, dependencies, decisions, and recommendations to customer and company leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant systems-engineering, integration, or technical-operations experience.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise or distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated success in a customer-facing technical leadership role.
  • Experience with requirements analysis, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple technical disciplines and stakeholder organizations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at a customer site while collaborating with a distributed engineering team.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting federal, defense, Intelligence Community, or geospatial programs.
  • Familiarity with secure data-management, discovery, synchronization, or dissemination systems.
  • Experience with containerized or cloud-based enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of government cybersecurity and system-authorization processes.
  • Relevant systems-engineering or cybersecurity certification.
Additional Information

Employment is contingent upon contract award, funding, customer approval, and completion of applicable security, badging, and facility-access requirements. Responsibilities, location, and qualifications may be adjusted based on final contract requirements.

Cubic Pay Range:

$123,000.00 - $156,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
