Systems Engineer 3 (Watch Desk) - Rancher/Ansible/Python/Java/Docker/Kubernetes/Linux/AWS

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level systems engineer who is experienced with systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development, familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes. This is a watch desk position (Watch Desk has 5 shifts that repeat every two weeks 3 days on and 4 days off and then 4 days on and 3 days off:)
RequirementsSecurity Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
- Twenty (20) years-experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Security Plus Certification (or willingness to attain within 6 months)
- Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development, familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with RTRG Mission analytics operation and use
- Monitoring OS and Applications
- Troubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as required
- Troubleshooting dataflow and escalating as required
- Troubleshooting network issue and escalating as required
- Ability to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discern correct operations
- Good communications skills written and verbal
- Ability to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate status
- Generating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sources
- Generating SOPs for use by the members of the Watch desk and/or customers
- Ability to lead small team of WD shift personnel
- Ability to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammates
- Maintain schedules as required
- AWS Knowledge/Experience

- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
- Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
