Description
Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer to design and develop modular components for advanced government applications. Collaborate on complex SIGINT and multimedia solutions, leveraging your developer skill set in Java, Node/TypeScript, and React. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot, design, and implement solutions that support critical missions. This role requires a balance of technical engineering principles and strong communication skills to present and document complex ideas.
RequirementsSecurity Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
- Fourteen (14) or more years of relevant experience
- Five (5) years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelors degree
Required Skills:
- Senior-level Java developer experience
- Experience with Node/TypeScript and junior- to mid-level React development
- Proven Linux background
- Experience with designing and developing modular components used in other applications
- Success troubleshooting and solving complex problems
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience with presentations, briefings, and technical documentation
Desired Skills:
- Senior-level experience with signal processing of audio/video content
- Knowledge of multimedia file/streaming formats, audio/video compression
- Familiarity with SIGINT data flow
- Mid-level Python development skills
- Experience with web traffic analysis and DevOps pipelines (junior - to mid-level)
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services

- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
- Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
- Above Market Hourly Rates
