As the Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of moderately complex and diverse team initiatives with the support of your team members.
- You have experience with at least one of the Guidewire suite of products - PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter. including configuration and development using Gosu, UI workflows, TeamCity, and Guidewire Studio/IntelliJ.
- Experience integrating Guidewire with external systems via web services, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Views, Integration Gateway and message queues.
- Experience in Guidewire tools and accelerators, batch processing, and predefined plugins, GUnit, paired with a strong understanding of Guidewire architecture and its internal components.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) and cloud-native deployments
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and Confluence.
- Guidewire Associate Developer certification is an asset.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Maven/Gradle, Java design principles, unit testing with JUnit, and related web technologies including XML.
- Experience in SQL skills and experience with relational/nosql databases is an asset.
How you will create impact:
- Translating requirements into a cohesive working plan in accordance with guidelines and standards.
- Writing code to implement functionalities and features of small to medium complexity.
- Creating an implementation and back-out plan for a single system.
- Performing unit testing for developed code, supporting system and user acceptance testing, and resolving defects by troubleshooting root causes.
- Fostering productive relationships with Information Technology (IT) business partners and communicating analysis and results accordingly.
- You have 3 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Salary information
Expected salary range $60,574 to $100,956
Salary placement
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Incentive/Variable pay
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
Skills Required
- 3 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
