Job Description
As a Systems Design Engineer working for Bose Automotive GmbH in the Stuttgart area, you will be part of a close-knit team within the worldwide Bose Software Organization and Automotive Systems Division.
You will help deliver cutting-edge acoustical technology for various OEMs, that leads to unique and exciting premium audio and noise management experiences. These solutions will involve a variety of development models spanning from Bose amplifier software across various software delivery models, to full Up-Integrated Head-Unit software with the goal to deliver the exceptional Bose experience to OEMs and their end customers. You will work closely with hardware, software and algorithm teams in specifying and designing solutions including but not limited to embedded and supporting PC based applications.
What you'll do:

Systems design (software, electronics and audio).

Communicate with customers, internal- and external stakeholders to correctly identify systems functionality, use cases, and requirements. Work with the stakeholders to resolve any open issues.

Use modeling techniques (UML/SysML) to define the system architecture; evaluate how the system performs in the real world.

Lead the development of the overall system architecture, create technical documentation and manage the system requirements.

Define and support the system integration testing.

Support the software delivery team throughout the development time.

Responsible for customer requirements analysis, system requirements decomposition and maintaining the requirements in the database according to ASPICE. Responsible for ASPICE SYS.1, SYS.2, SYS.3.

Engage in process improvements.

Collaborate with other global system engineers and architects to derive common system designs.

Engage the customer to define the product tuning interface.
What you'll need:

Bachelor’s (Masters preferred) Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline.

At least 5 years of experience with defining the System Architecture for embedded system’s software.

Knowledge of general-purpose processor architectures, such as ARM as well as DSPs and GPUs.

Fluency in German as well as in English language.

Ability to work directly with customers, providing solutions real time.

Ability to support occasional travel.
Desired Skills:

Knowledge of digital audio processing.

Knowledge of Automotive software development processes and methodologies.

Familiarity with vehicle architecture and communication protocols.
