Systems and Information Administrator

Cityside Fiber is seeking a highly motivated Systems and Information Administrator to join our team. This role designs, builds, and manages our organization's IT infrastructure. The role focuses on seamless system integrations, enforcing data hygiene standards, and executing routine server configuration and maintenance to optimize performance, security, and data accuracy across enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain API connections and middleware to ensure smooth data flow between disparate enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, and Active Directory).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to turn business requirements into connected, automated workflows.
• Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring structured, accurate, and accessible information for downstream reporting.
• Audit and map data usage across platforms, ensuring data integrity across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Install, configure, and manage physical and virtual server environments (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware).
• Configure system software to meet business scalability needs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including deploying firmware updates, BIOS upgrades, and OS patches.
• Ensure business continuity by verifying and testing routine disaster recovery plans and system backups.
• Contribute to a culture of trust, integrity, and collaboration with fellow employees to support the overall success of Cityside Fiber.
• Understand and uphold Cityside Fiber's core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of proven, hands-on experience in server administration, systems analysis, and data governance.
• Proficiency with API data structures (JSON, GeoJSON, Postman) and database querying (SQL).
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong data hygiene instincts.
• Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
