Job Overview:

Under general supervision, the Systems Analyst codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains applications/programs based on specifications provided. Provides analysis and recommendations for client’s business needs. This Systems Analyst develops well-written recommendations, based on best business practices that provide alternatives, costs and time frames.

Experience Requirements:

  • Develops, enhances, installs, and tests computer software applications based on specifications.
  • Can write complex SQL queries.
  • Analyses and troubleshoots application problems working with technical staff and customers
  • Leads project team in small to medium size projects and coordinates team tasks with assistance of technical leads.
  • Analyses client’s business needs and provides recommendations for automated solutions.
  • Monitors client systems for performance and efficiency.
  • Communicates and interacts with customer contacts/liaison to increase efficiency and functionality of software applications.
  • Documents applications, technical specifications and user manuals.
  • Maintains current technology expertise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience Preferences:

  • Four years of recent progressively responsible programming and systems analysis experience.
  • One year of experience must have included responsibility for project management and implementation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility to work in typical office setting and use standard office equipment
  • Stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or closely related field

Education Preferences:

  • This is a senior level position that is staffed by personnel who have had sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify them

Schedule:

  • 8AM EST – 5PM EST
