The Systems Analyst will provide technical guidance on the optimal implementation of data and analytics projects, and also provide actionable insights about data structures, and processes. S/he will provide technical documentation to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the company's analytics platforms. S/he will assist in processing data, developing/delivering dashboards and reports and extracting actionable intelligence. The Systems Analyst is also required to make informed decisions on measurement and optimization. The ability to recognize and understand trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams and solve complex marketing problems based on analytics insights and best practices are key to success within this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
  • Evaluating existing data systems and providing design recommendations and considerations based on understanding of data domain.
  • Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
  • Appropriately engaging stakeholders in the decision making regarding data object definition, security requirements, and retention policies.
  • Propose and prioritize changes to reporting and create additional metrics and processes based on program changes and stakeholder requirements.
  • Monitor data quality and take initiative to make improvements.
  • Keep pace with industry changes, technologies, and strategies.
  • Predict potential problems for data, applications and/or systems and provides recommended solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed design specifications per approved standards/procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and performs escalated support for production applications that involves advanced troubleshooting.
  • Participate in, or leads, internal initiatives for the implementation, use, and improvement of processes, procedures, guidelines, and metrics for Systems Analysis team or IT organization.

  • Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.

Requirements
Requirements:

  • Experience in a BI Analyst role with hands on experience in developing advanced level end to end business intelligence solutions.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (PowerPivot, Macros etc) for data transformation, consolidating data from diverse sources, analytics, modeling, and data visualization of analytic findings.
  • Excellent query optimization, analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • XL Cubed experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx is a preferred.
  • Experience creating content for and communicating with senior leadership.
  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to the position or a combination of related education and work experience in the area of systems analysis to equal four years.
  • Experience with planning/organizing technical content training for non-technical audience.


Skills Required

  • Hands-on experience developing advanced end-to-end business intelligence solutions.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (PowerPivot, Macros/VBA) for data transformation, modeling, and visualization.
  • Excellent query optimization, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
