The Analysis Solutions Business Area at Leidos has an opening for a Systems Administrator in Reston Virginia.
Responsibilities include installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware and software.
Additionally, this role may include management of systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to Identify and recommend system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, installation and configuration of software and software licenses, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure.
Support duties may include updating and supporting systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space. Implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshooting issues.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- BS in an IT related field and 8+ years of experience or a Masters in IT related field and 6+ years of experience.
- Ability to administer Active Directory (AD) to manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across the network.
- Experience in automating IT tasks and processes using Microsoft PowerShell scripting to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Experience in utilizing Microsoft operating systems to deploy, manage, and support applications and services, ensuring system reliability and user productivity.
- Experience in overseeing security measures to protect organization from possible threats. Identify security requirements and risks and develop mitigation policies.
- Experience in managing physical and virtual server infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security of organizational systems and applications.
- Experience in managing and configuring IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of services, while troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Ability to create and enhance systems to meet organizational requirements and specifications while ensuring compatibility and compliance.
- Ability to implement systems and applications to support organizational initiatives and workflows effectively.
- Experience in managing complex systems throughout their life cycles and integrating various components, subsystems, or processes.
- Experience in providing technical assistance for related issues, ensuring timely resolution of problems, and maintaining optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues that arise within a complex system or network infrastructure.
- Experience in implementing and managing virtual environments to optimize resource utilization, enhance scalability, and ensure system reliability.
- Highly skilled with developing solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines and regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives.
- Ability to communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members.
- Ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

- Comp TIA Network+ / Security+
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
