The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of ICT systems. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of networked systems and servers within a mission-critical environment. The position requires strong technical expertise, adherence to cybersecurity protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues while supporting training systems and operational readiness.

- Manage documentation & training of new team members
- Accountable for system monitoring and analysis
- Responsible for infrastructure management
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical Expertise in managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and Defence ICT security compliance.
- Experience with patch management and system hardening processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT)
- Ability to work on-site, 5 days a week at HMAS Watson
- Already hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance – must be an AU Citizen!
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
