This position is 100% onsite at our customer site in Norfolk, VA. This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret with Top Secret eligibility to start.
What will you do in this role?

Deployment and Upgrades: Execute and support the deployment of both virtual and physical server infrastructures, including ESXi Hypervisor and VDI environments. Manage system enhancements and enterprise Life Cycle Management (LCM) evolutions.

Documentation: Create, modify, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instruction documentation to ensure clarity and compliance in operational processes.

VDI Management: Support the management of Thin Client and Zero Client endpoint devices, including upgrades and enhancements to optimize performance and user experience.

Operating System Management: Build, test, and deploy operating system images in alignment with planned projects and initiatives, ensuring thorough preparation and testing prior to production deployment.

Fault Response: Monitor system performance and respond to faults, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to restore services swiftly.

Time Management: Effectively manage technical responsibilities and time commitments, setting realistic expectations and meeting deadlines within a collaborative team environment.

Certificate Management: Maintain, update, and install necessary security certificates, tracking revocation dates to ensure uninterrupted service continuity.

Storage/SAN Solutions: Support Storage and SAN solutions, focusing on backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

Security Compliance: Prepare and implement DoD STIG mitigation cycles, ensuring compliance with DISA security standards to protect our systems.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Experience in lieu of a degree may be accepted.

Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of integrating VMware ESXi Hypervisor and implementing bare metal rack server technology and hardware solutions. Solid understanding of VM Kernel Operating System installation and virtual server implementation on physical blade servers. Strong experience with configuring and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPO).

Systems and Network Understanding: Strong understanding of enterprise networks, systems operations, and support.

Hardware Installation: Experience with server rack hardware installation, implementation, and datacenter maintenance operations.

Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in creating and utilizing PowerShell scripting for systems management and process automation.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Operating Systems: Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Server 2016-2022 operating systems.

System Deployment: Familiarity with updating and patching computer systems using SCCM/MECM.

Troubleshooting: Experience troubleshooting hardware applications, system services, events, configurations, and policies.

Security Compliance: Experience applying DoD STIG requirements and utilizing SCAP tools. Familiarity with system security applications (e.g., ACAS) and vulnerability mitigation.

Certifications: Must possess DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certifications (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP CE or CISSP). Additional requirement includes system OS certification such as VMware VCP or VCA, Windows Server 2016 or higher, CompTIA Server+, Linux RHEL Cert

Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance at the Top Secret level
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with VMware Horizon View.

Possession of a valid VMware VCP certification.

Certified Microsoft Azure Administrator.

Proficiency in using PowerShell CLI scripts.

Experience with Teradici Management or Dell Wyse Management Suite.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
