Job Summary:  Support, troubleshoot, maintain, and secure Novae LLC’s network, server, and computer systems to facilitate the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and ease of data access to our users.

Essential Functions

• Install, test, and configure workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.  Manage user permissions and access to ensure all employees have the technology and equipment to be successful.  Set up new users.
• Manage the maintenance and security of servers.  Maintain file storage and access controls.  Replace and upgrade infrastructure components.
• Configure and manage network devices.  Plan and implement network changes.  Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
• Research security protocols regularly, staying abreast of the most successful protection protocols.   Recommend updates based on research.   Implement the latest security protocols to safeguard systems.  Train users on best practices for security of systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.  Log tasks and problem resolutions into the system.   Look for trends to potentially identify concerns before the problems become more serious.
• Provide excellent customer service in the execution of responsibilities.  Listen to and interpret customer requests to execute requests.  Develop, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.   Follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved.
• Collaborate with IT team to identify new technologies and processes that continuously improve our systems.  Maintain and update existing technical resources and checklists.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities
• Two or more years of experience as a technician in the computer networking field, including data and server administration.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly motivated with a customer service mindset
