Job Description:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the company's core IT systems, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure services, network devices, and enterprise applications. The Systems Administrator contributes significantly to the company’s cloud journey, ensuring scalability, security, and efficient integration with existing systems.
  • Administer Azure/M365 governance, Entra, SIEM, resource groups, and licensing.
  • Manage network infrastructure, conference rooms, DHCP, DNS, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs, and ZTNA.
  • Circuit Management – Procure, manage, and monitor data circuits for offices and jobsites.
  • Endpoint Management – Patch management, Intune device management, and PIM.
  • Administer and maintain enterprise applications, including SaaS platforms, cloud file services, and Intune application/package management.
  • Administer productivity platforms including SharePoint, Teams, and Google Workspace.
  • Work with IT teams and end users to ensure effective application configuration, deployment, maintenance, and testing.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, data flow diagrams, and system architecture documentation.
  • Support cybersecurity reviews, audits, remediation, and defense-in-depth initiatives.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the position and team objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in a systems administration role.
  • Experience with administering Entra and M365 platforms. 
  • Experience with administering Google Workspace platform.
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation tools. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to run and execute technology implementation projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of different teams across the business.
  • Capable of learning large, complex systems in a short time frame. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in 
  • accordance with Fortis policy. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience with administering Azure Cloud Infrastructure
  • AI Systems Management and Integration
     

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is performed in a professional office environment. Role is stationary, often standing or sitting for long periods of time, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing is required. May occasionally push, pull or lift up to 25 lbs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel to jobsites, up to 20% of the time.
