At Impruvon, we are innovative, driven, and committed to building with empathy. We listen first, challenge ourselves to improve every day, and work as a supportive, collaborative team focused on solving meaningful problems that directly impact people's lives.
About the Role
We're looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Operations team and help maintain the internal systems that power Impruvon's day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on execution: managing access, configuring systems, and supporting the teams that rely on them day to day.
You should be comfortable with the fundamentals of user access and permissions, willing to learn the configuration side of our internal systems, and able to follow established processes while flagging where documentation or workflows need improvement. Provisioning users, maintaining permission structures, and keeping documentation current will be core parts of this role.
This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their systems administration career to build depth across identity management, system configuration, and vendor support in a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Access & Identity Management
- Create and maintain permission sets, roles, and groups across our internal systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, Atlassian, etc)
- Handle day-to-day user provisioning and deprovisioning as employees join, change roles, or leave
- Assist with periodic access reviews under the direction of Operations leadership
- Follow established access policies to keep permissions accurate and up to date
- Apply least-privilege principles and support basic HIPAA technical safeguards when provisioning or reviewing system access
Systems Configuration & Workflow Support
- Set up and configure internal systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, Atlassian, etc) to support integrations, automations, and workflow design
- Meet with departments to understand what they need from a system and gather requirements
- Make the requested changes based on that discovery, testing to confirm the change works as expected
- Escalate more complex configuration needs to the appropriate technical resource
Documentation
- Maintain clear, current documentation of system configurations, access policies, and administrative procedures
- Write how-to guides so internal teams can self-serve on common tasks
- Keep a record of changes made and why, so the team has a reliable reference over time
Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day system access and configuration questions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they come in
- Work with vendor support to escalate and resolve problems that require outside help
- Keep track of recurring issues and flag patterns
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with departments across the company to understand and support their systems configuration and workflow needs
- Help internal teams understand how to use the systems they rely on
- Communicate status and timelines clearly when working a request or issue
Key Performance Indicators
- Timely and accurate user provisioning and deprovisioning
- Permissions kept current and consistent with company access policies
- Support requests handled promptly, with appropriate items escalated when needed
- Clear, current, and accessible documentation across administered systems
- Responsive, professional follow-through on vendor support issues
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Required
- 1-2 years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or a related technical role; equivalent coursework, certifications, or internship experience will also be considered

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially around documentation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to leverage AI as a tool to assist with productivity and quality
- Prior experience administering Google Workspace or a similar identity provider is a plus
Personal Attributes
- Curious and fast learner with strong critical thinking skills
