Job Description:

As a Systems Administrator at Parsons, you will join a fast-paced team supporting mission-critical requirements for the Department of War and United States Army. Become part of a diverse group of 500 professionals delivering expertise in network and systems administration, cybersecurity, and technical support across Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood, Maryland, for a portfolio of efforts spanning 5 years and a total value exceeding $600 million. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, solutions-oriented professional with experience in maintaining, securing, and optimizing complex IT environments to advance Army modernization and support to the warfighter. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers. 

  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, software, network accounts, and security tools. 

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security measures such as firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems. 

  • Design, update, and manage web pages and local system documentation. 

  • Monitor system configuration, performance, and security, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards. 

  • Train staff on relevant software and provide technical assistance to users. 

  • Assist with the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and best practices. 

  • Ensure compliance with Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives and maintain required certifications as applicable. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems. (Advanced degree preferred)

  • 3–10+ years of professional experience in systems administration. 

  • TS/SCI is required 

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large, multi-year programs or projects. 

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD standards, compliance, and modular open systems approaches is highly desirable. 

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $42.50 - $74.38
