Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Systems Administrator – Mid Level to support operations at Texarkana, TX. This role involves managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to addressing IT challenges within a mission-critical environment.
A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain system software and infrastructure in accordance with organizational standards.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Implement and maintain system security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and continuity.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within various operating systems and applications.
- Conduct system audits and generate reports to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Collaborate with network and application teams to support integrated solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator, with familiarity in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in system management tools, experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server 2019
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
