Systems Administrator III (Linux)
Your Moneris Career – The Opportunity
As a Systems Administrator III (Linux), you will engineer, automate, secure, and continuously improve the enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) platform that underpins Moneris’ business-critical payments services across on-premises data centers and cloud.
This is a senior, hands-on infrastructure role centered on operating and modernizing a large-scale RHEL estate of thousands of virtual machines spanning development through mission-critical production. You will build reusable automation at scale with Ansible, Python, and Bash; drive lifecycle management through patching, upgrades, and migrations; and harden the environment against payments-industry compliance standards. Working independently with sound judgment, you will partner with Platform, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Operations, Information Security, and Infrastructure Architecture teams to deliver a consistent, resilient, and secure operating environment. You will also mature service ownership, mentor less-experienced colleagues, and reduce operational drift through standards-based engineering.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, Systems Infrastructure
Posting Type: Replacement Position
Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $113,000
Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
