System AdministratorIII
The System Administrator is expected to facilitate operational support to and on behalf of the assigned team. The assigned team supports and maintains a variety of large and global scale systems for building management and physical security operations. The skill set required is industry typical 'systems administration', including working knowledge of various networking systems. Work is ticket based, and the team would be expected to procedurally work through tickets (submitted via a template) to resolution.

- Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignments
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for creating DC layouts and planning the servers onto racks, coordinating
the server mountings
◦ Assist in the development and implementation of capacity management strategies for
server deployments in large-scale data centers, optimizing resource utilization.
◦ Support cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Program Management,
Operations, and Data Center Development teams to gather server requirements and
ensure adequate provision of space, power, and rack capacities.
◦ Contribute to the planning and execution of server delivery projects, including operating
system installations.
◦ Collaborate effectively with a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment.
◦ Support the early stages of data center design and construction, promoting efficient and
sustainable solutions.
◦ Apply foundational knowledge of server energy efficiency and scalability best practices
within the data center industry.
2. Install the operating systems for new mounted servers
3. Responsible for reinstalling the server operation systems, solving the abnormalities.
4. Responsible for the daily server maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and follow-up
break-fix of the server and other hardware
5. Maintain data on internal systems including asset management, ticketing, rack related data
6. Work with remote vendors or other teams to solve hardware batch failures and problems
7. Oncall on duty, responsible for dealing with the problems raised by the business owner
side
8. Collect and check online assets status or issues
9. Erase drives or other configurations for retiring or relocating servers.
10. Retrofit some tools by updating or writing scripts
11. Submit and track the part RMA or media destruction process
12. Server network troubleshooting
13. Server lifecycle management
14. Other server operation related work
Required Qualifications/Skills:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering or any other relevant fields
2. Strong ability to work under pressure; Strong learning ability, broad technical interest;
Strong sense of responsibility, full of enthusiasm for work
3. Good communication skills in English, Mandarin is preferred, good team work spirit; Ability to work independently
4. Knowledge of the interdependencies of Data Center functions and technologies, including Facilities
5. Familiarity with basic Data Analytic Skills
6. Experience with massive remote OS installation such as PXE boot
7. Can understand and run Bash Shell or Python scripts
8. Familiar with simple automation tools, such as Ansible
9. Familiar with Linux systems, able to locate server hardware/baremetal faults; Strong
analytical and problem solving skills
10. Basic TCP/IP knowledge concepts - Subnetting, VLANs, DNS, IPv6; Ability to perform general troubleshooting
11. Knowledge of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, such as IPMI and NCSI
12. Strong documentation skills and habits
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automation and scripting experience

- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
