About the Role

Dandy is hiring an IT Systems Administrator to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The IT Department owns all technology needs for Dandy. In this role, you’ll assist the IT Corporate Team with various tasks to ensure the high reliability of the IT infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to demonstrate many skills at once and the ability to learn new things quickly. We are rapidly expanding and will have many opportunities for this role to develop. What You'll Do

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network, server, and workstation systems, and cloud systems

  • Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of all IT systems

  • Manage user accounts and access controls, including Active Directory and other authentication mechanisms

  • Provide technical support to end-users, including remote support

  • Provide technical support for specialty software applications

  • Assist with IT projects and initiatives as needed

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of IT

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response

  • On-site office support required everyday

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing, and speaking) is an absolute and inherent requirement for this position. The ability to effectively communicate in English is critical for successfully performing the duties of this role

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in an IT role

  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory, and Google Workspace

  • Experience with Windows operating systems and hardware

  • Familiarity with macOS operating systems and hardware

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points For

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCP

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Experience with Asset Management

  • Experience with automation systems, like Better Cloud and Zapier

  • Familiarity with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash, Python

  • Understanding of ITIL principles and best practices

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Communication with Client Base: The majority of our existing client/user base is predominantly English-speaking, located primarily in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other English-speaking regions. To effectively serve, support, and communicate with these end-users, this role requires the ability to:

    • Speak English fluently: For clear and professional verbal interactions, including client calls, presentations, troubleshooting, and relationship management.

    • Read English proficiently: To accurately interpret client inquiries, understand project specifications, review contracts, and comprehend technical documentation.

    • Write English effectively: To compose professional emails, detailed reports, proposals, and other written communications that are precise and easily understood by our English-speaking clientele.

  2. Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders: The majority of our internal stakeholders, including management, technical teams, and cross-functional departments, operate predominantly in English. Effective collaboration and participation within the company necessitates the ability to:

    • Speak English fluently: For active participation in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, presentations, and daily internal discussions.

    • Read English proficiently: To comprehend internal policies, procedural documents, project plans, performance reviews, and company-wide communications.

Write English effectively: To draft internal reports, update project documentation, prepare business cases, and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors across all levels.
