Objective Summary
We are seeking a senior NALCOMIS Systems Administrator / Continuity Support specialist to deliver robust operational redundancy and continuous infrastructure availability for the CNAFR NALCOMIS Virtual Environment contract. Stationed on-site at NAS JRB Fort Worth, this critical position focuses on system baseline security, rigorous data backup routines, disaster recovery orchestration, and interface replication.
Working in tandem with the Primary Administrator, this expert ensures the systemic durability of NALCOMIS OOMA/OIMA configurations, virtual machines, and remote access systems. The ideal candidate brings an extensive professional chronology matching senior technical competency at a military E-6 level or above, specializing in deep technical continuity within secure naval parameters.
Mandatory Compliance Metrics
Candidates must satisfy these strict gates to ensure a successful Government onboarding determination:
- Experience Baseline: Resume must explicitly reflect a minimum of 10 years of general IT/computer experience, 6 years of specialized systems or network administration, and 10 years of direct Navy aviation maintenance administration experience. General Windows or VMware experience alone is insufficient.
- Dual Technical Mastery: Must have verified, hands-on experience operating as both a NALCOMIS Database Administrator (DBA) and a NALCOMIS Systems Administrator across both O-level and I-level configurations.
- Operational Shift Availability: Must be fully available on-site for an anticipated 0500 CST start time to accommodate and align with East Coast supported units.
- Uptime & Response SLA: Must commit to maintaining a strict 99% system availability environment, including a contractual readiness to physically or remotely respond to system outages during non-duty hours within 2 hours of notification.
- Enforce absolute backup control by monitoring, managing, and performing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual NTCSS and OOMA/OIMA VM server backups utilizing Veeam software.
- Orchestrate backup verifications of VM data and system files, keeping verified duplicates secured at designated, off-site building locations.
- Coordinate and execute emergency, routine, or unscheduled server startup, shutdown, and full system disaster recovery processes following the System Administrator Guide (SAG).
- Establish, evaluate, and maintain localized contingency Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), submitting updated contingency deliverables to the Government.
- Troubleshoot remote desktop access, NMCI/NGEN connectivity, and user account lockouts for cross-site aviation units.
- Monitor inter-system replication health, isolate connectivity faults, and process required batch programs or technical scripts.
- Identify, track, and submit NALCOMIS Trouble Reports (TR) and Change Proposals (CP) via the enterprise Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Expert-level knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication programs operating inside virtualized environments.
- Deep familiarity with NTCSS servers, RSUPMAST, NALC, and OOMA virtual machine interdependencies.
- Functional understanding of software baseline loads, including applying quarterly Program of Record (POR) updates to production VMs.
- Experience diagnosing replication and data synchronization blockages between OOMA, OIMA, ERP, and O&I servers.
- Comprehensive mastery of protecting sensitive unclassified systems, conducting audit-log retention, and reviewing privileged security files.
- Direct experience executing information assurance technical (IAT) compliance under DoD Directive 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M standards.
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), HBSS/anti-virus signature updates, and ACAS vulnerability scanning mitigation cycles.
- Active certification in a DoD-approved IAT Level II cybersecurity credential (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP)
- Prior military experience working directly with DECKPLATE systems, Navy aviation logistics, or intermediate maintenance activities (IMA).
