What’s the Opportunity?
We are seeking a Systems Administrator I to support the maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s systems, applications, and network infrastructure. In this role, you will help protect critical information systems and ensure reliable, efficient IT operations across the organization.
This position involves managing a variety of responsibilities including user support, routine operational tasks, time-sensitive initiatives, and longer-term projects. The role requires strong organizational skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
You will also contribute to process improvements and automation efforts that enhance operational efficiency and support innovation within the IT environment. A hands-on approach, proactive mindset, and commitment to continuous learning are key to success in this role.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about technology, eager to grow their technical skills, and motivated to deliver practical, effective solutions that support business operations.
This position is based in either our Seattle or Tacoma WA office, with an expectation of at least three days per week in-office. Occasional travel between offices may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Windows Active Directory administration, including user and group management, access and permission management, organizational unit (OU) management, and Group Policy administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 E5, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and automation via PowerShell and Microsoft’s Power Platform
- Assist with building and deploying physical and virtual servers, workstations, and AWS workspaces
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers and workstations, including monitoring system performance, reviewing event logs for warnings and errors, responding to hardware or system issues, and performing regular system maintenance
- Support and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches. This will involve administering and monitoring company WANs, LANs, WiFi, and network peripherals
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, document, and provide technical support when needed
- Assist with system backups and recovery procedures
- Create clear and accurate documentation for all systems and processes you implement. This includes creating and maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, training, and troubleshooting
What Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates will have the following:
Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field
- 2-3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT role in a corporate environment
- Experience in building, configuring, and maintaining modern Windows Server operating systems
- Experience in Microsoft 365 E5 including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams
- Experience with Active Directory (AD) and its services (DNS, DHCP, GPO, etc.)
- Knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and Windows networking concepts
- Knowledge of AWS workspace administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including in-person, email, chat, and phone
- Able to write clear and concise documentation
- Able to lift at least 30 lbs.
Preferred:
- Microsoft or Amazon Web Services certifications
- Experience with Cisco Meraki firewalls and access points and Cisco VPNs
- Experience with Veeam enterprise backup and recovery procedures
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and the Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Experience with Python and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience in Microsoft 365 E5 including Intune, Entra ID, Purview

Salary and Other Compensation:
- Salary Range: $ 78,120 - $ 87,000
- Annual Bonus
- Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.
Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
