Systems Tester 

Regular Full-Time 

Position Overview 

The Systems Tester is responsible for system testing which includes the creation of test plans and test cases. The ideal candidate is tech savvy (primarily office, excel, and ticket systems), with functional knowledge of payroll or accounting, and possesses knowledge of testing and evaluating the software applications and systems that make software functionality. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Conducting comprehensive systems testing across multiple environments, utilizing an in-house software tool to ensure the quality, reliability, functionality, and defect identification
  • Executing regression and smoke testing to ensure the stability of the software after bug fixes, enhancements or deployments
  • Collectively work closely with development team to understand system requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Produce reports on test progress, test results and other relevant information
  • Actively contributing to process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements, and implementing best practices to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness 

Key Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 6 months general Data Entry experience in a payroll, accounting, or financial environment 
  • Working knowledge of PC systems preferred, not limited to Microsoft Office  
  • Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative team environment  
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and manage time effectively 
  • Quick learning ability and deep understanding of technical products/systems  
  • Comfort and skill working with all levels of the team  
  • Self-motivated, critically thinking, problem-solving 
  • Ability to work overtime as needed   

Special Work Conditions  

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.  

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

The compensation range for this position is:

$22$25.50 USD
