We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software System Test Manager to establish and lead our system test presence in Taipei. This role will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, helping build the team, lab capabilities, test strategy, and execution model needed to validate our software across the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build, hire, and develop a high-performing System Test team in Taipei to support current and future products.
- Define and execute post-silicon system test strategies spanning functional, stress, endurance, negative, and system-level validation.
- Drive test automation and CI integration to improve coverage, efficiency, and release confidence.
- Partner with Firmware, Driver, Systems and Product teams to ensure robust validation coverage and clear defect triage.
- Represent System Test status and quality outcomes in internal reviews and external discussions with ODMs and customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10+ years of experience OR MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of experience
- Experience working on DVT and EVT devices.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, including both general-purpose operating systems (Windows/Linux) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience with a variety of MCU and DSP cores/processors
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as (Python/shell, C, C++, etc.)
- Understanding of software testing and test automation principles
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience building and growing technical teams
- Experience with cross functional and offshore communication
- Experience with Jira, svn/git, and continuous integration systems (e.g., Jenkins)
- Familiar with defect management practices
- Familiar with SDLC
- Experience with Agile Scrum software development
- Experience in lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers for measurement and debugging issues
