System & Project Engineer – Lyra Technology Group
Lyra Technology Group is seeking a System & Project Engineer to join our fast-growing IT Managed Services Provider (MSP), Integritek, in Los Angeles. This hybrid role blends technical project leadership with high-level support, serving a diverse client base across industries. You’ll lead infrastructure projects (cloud migrations, network deployments, server upgrades) and provide Tier 2/3 support. Local travel (up to ~2 hours) may be required. Your work as a System & Project Engineer will include the following duties:
- Plan, design, and deploy IT infrastructure projects: servers, networks, cloud (Azure, AWS), and security
- Architect solutions across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Meraki/SonicWall, and more
- Lead Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD) deployments
- Advise clients as a vCTO, creating roadmaps and enforcing best practices
- Handle escalated support tickets across servers, networks, and cloud platforms
- Maintain client environments (patches, backups, M365 administration, endpoint protection)
- Manage device provisioning via Autopilot and enforce compliance through Intune
- Respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and implement security remediations
Our ideal System & Project Engineer has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; certifications (e.g., AZ-104, VCP, CCNA) are a plus
- 5+ years in systems/network engineering (MSP experience preferred)
- Strong skills in:
- Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Networking (Meraki, SonicWall, Netgate)
- Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID), Intun
- Security tools like Defender, DLP, and endpoint protection
- AWS exposure a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, client-facing communication, and project/time management
The targeted base compensation for this role is $105,000-$115,000 per year and will operate out of the Los Angeles, California office on a hybrid basis.
