Curitiba-PR

At Electrolux Group, a leading global appliance company, we strive every day to shape living for the better for our consumers, our people and our planet. We share ideas and collaborate so that together, we can develop solutions that deliver enjoyable and sustainable living.

Come join us as you are. We believe diverse perspectives make us stronger and more innovative. In our global community of people from 100+ countries, we listen to each other, actively contribute and grow together.

Join us in our exciting quest to build the future home!

About the role:

For more than one hundred years now, the Electrolux Group has been working at shaping living for the better, developing products that meet people’s demands in terms of taste, care and wellbeing. But as consumer needs and wants continue to evolve, we have even more work to do. It's our R&D teams that ensure our company stays at the forefront of innovation, investigating and making use of the latest technology in order to enable our company to keep delivering outstanding experiences.

What you’ll do:

In this position, you will be involved in a variety of projects and have a broad range of responsibilities, from leading technical projects to supporting other project leaders in your area of expertise. The main objective is to develop cross-functional and cross-category system models (multi-physics and data-driven where appropriate) to predict performances, support architecture decisions, and ensure that technical solutions meet the Consumer Benefits as defined by the Product Board and agreed with the System Modeling Team Leader. We are looking for a motivated candidate who can drive projects from initial proposal to the implementation of modeling strategies and simulation deliverables in our development flow, interacting globally with different R&D departments as well as with the Business Areas.

In detail, you will:

- Propose system modeling strategies (physics-based, reduced-order, and/or hybrid approaches) within timing and cost targets set by the Global Product Board.

- Build and maintain multi-domain simulation models (e.g., thermo-fluid, mechanics, acoustics, control interactions) to support concept selection and technology feasibility.

- Define assumptions, boundary conditions, and parameter identification plans; perform model calibration and validation against lab measurements and prototypes.

- Develop simulation workflows to enable faster iterations (automation, model reuse, modularity, and traceability of versions).

- Deliver sensitivity analyses, uncertainty assessments, and trade-off studies to guide product architecture and performance choices.

- Give inputs to the System Modeling Team Leader on the APD Technology Roadmap for modeling methodologies, tools, and best practices.

- Ensure that modeling outcomes and recommendations are in line with global standards (performances, modularity, safety, etc.) while considering regional requirements and product targets (cost, IP, quality, standards, design for assembly and performance for all variances foreseen).

- Write technical documentation and modeling specifications for transfer purposes towards GTD and Labs, including model limitations and recommended usage conditions.

- Lead a project as Project Leader (where applicable), coordinating stakeholders and ensuring milestone delivery.

- Work in heterogeneous teams (chemical, physics, mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, electronics, control, data science, …).

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).

Who you are:

- University degree in Mechanical / Systems / Mechatronics / Electronics Engineering or similar. MSc/PhD is a plus.

- At least 2 years of experience in an R&D environment, as well as experience in leading projects. Previous experience in house appliances sector is a plus.

- Solid knowledge of system modeling and simulation methodologies (multi-physics, reduced-order modeling, parameter estimation, model validation).

- Experience with one or more modeling environments/tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Modelica, Amesim, Simcenter, COMSOL, ANSYS, GT-SUITE (tool selection depending on domain).

- Ability to translate complex physical phenomena into practical, reliable, and user-friendly models that support decisions and are reusable across projects.

- Familiarity with data analysis, experiment correlation, and basic scripting for automation (e.g., Python/Matlab).

- Advanced English.

 Where you’ll be:

You will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year. Benefits include:

  • Flexible work hours/hybrid work environment;
  • Discounts on our award-winning Electrolux products and services;
  • Family-friendly benefits such as extended paternity leave (4 weeks);
  • Insurance policy plan;
  • Extensive learning opportunities and flexible career path.

 As part of Electrolux Group, we will continuously invest in you and your development. There are no barriers to where your career could take you.
