As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. We are responsible for the entire Applied Materials Israel R&D tools fleet.
We enable efficient, stable, and safe operation of cutting‑edge systems used across the organization for research, development, and validation.We lead system integration for new prototypes and early‑stage products, partnering closely with cross‑functional R&D teams.What you'll be doing:As a System Integration Engineer, you will be the primary owner of the R&D home tools. Every activity, experiment, and system operation flows through the engineer, who holds the deepest system knowledge and serves as the main escalation point for any tool‑related challenges.In this role, you will:
- Lead the bring‑up, integration, and ongoing operation of complex multi‑disciplinary R&D tools.
- Perform hands‑on troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations across mechanical, electrical, motion, software, optics, and vacuum domains in clean room environments.
- Work closely with cross‑functional R&D teams to support experiments, run diagnostics, collect data, and drive improvements.
- Perform preventive maintenance and execute integration tests, acceptance procedures, and methodologies to improve system stability and repeatability.
- Plan and execute hardware/software module upgrades with minimal downtime for platform alignment per PDC guidelines
- Anticipate risk, prevent failures through proactive maintenance and predictive checks, ensuring optimal tool utilization and safety compliance.
- Support and prepare daily activities, ensuring operational readiness to maintain continues flow.
- End-to-end accountability across platforms, modules and interfaces.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineer / Mechanical
