QuantWare is the world's leading manufacturer of superconducting quantum hardware. As a high growth start-up with a global customer base, our mission is to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer. We push the boundaries of what's possible in our field. We work on making the world’s largest quantum processors, as fast as possible.
At QuantWare, we’re not just producing quantum hardware for the hyperscalers of tomorrow; we’re working on technology that will change the world. To make that ambition a reality, we need exceptional people who drive real impact. That’s where you come in.
As a System Integration Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing together our subsystems into coherent, high-performing quantum hardware. You will define system specifications, lead validation efforts, and ensure seamless integration and optimisation of all technical components. Your work will be essential as we scale to increasingly complex systems and deliver on the promise of quantum computing.
What you'll be doingPlan and manage the integration of cutting-edge scaling technologies developed by our R&D teams into next-generation quantum processors
Develop and coordinate integration test plans with cross-functional teams
Lead the definition and formalisation of system engineering processes across the organisation
Establish scalable, documented integration procedures to support system growth
Investigate and resolve integration issues and technical anomalies, ensuring alignment with specifications and overall performance targets
4+ years of experience in system engineering for deep-tech or low-volume hardware
Hands-on experience with systems exposed to extreme temperature environments (e.g., aerospace, cryogenics, telecommunications, defense)
Familiarity with superconducting technologies
You’ll stand out if you bring:
A background in quantum physics, microwave/RF/electrical engineering, or a related field (PhD is a plus)
Experience with electromagnetism, semiconductor/superconductor chips, or MEMS
