About the Role
New opportunity within our large Engineering organization for a Test Engineer as part of a new opening position in Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest which will work closely with the wider team. This is a newly formed team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test Coordinating team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an extremely exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organization.
What You Will Do
Development and Maintenance of System Integration (SYS.4) Test Cases
Perform / Document System Integration related Tests
Communicate the Test results with the stakeholders.
Install integrated software packages to hardware; integrate peripherals to infotainment system in (simulated) car environment
Define and distribute “Bring Up Instructions” to provide a reproducible system configuration
Check and record test result for hardware bring up test, operating system / drivers test and integrated software functionality test on hardware target
Create System Integration documentation
Pre-analyse defects and report System defect tickets found to development teams
Integrate and verify fixes on system level and document the result
Establish consistency and bilateral traceability of system architectural design to the system integration test specification
Ensure compliance to Harman internal and standard system integration and system integration test processes (e.g. according to Automotive SPICE –SYS.4)
Write test cases and create detailed reports for the testing procedure
Provide real time status for the current tasks and report weekly activity
Participate in test validation review sessions, weekly meeting, project sync
Act according the standards of the automotive industry and in-car applications
What You Need to be Successful
At least 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer in Automotive
Experience and knowledge in Automotive SPICE –SYS.4 area
Experience and knowledge at Telematics Systems Architecture
Experience and knowledge at system integration, OS and driver testing
Experience in problem resolution management tools
Good knowledge of test methods and development tools
Recent experience and strong hands-on skills in working in embedded Linux environments (Bash commands and scripts, system initialization, application/service management).
Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Capturing packages, NAT, Bridge, P2P)
Experience with data analysis, logs, tracing (EG: Wireshark)
Good English communication skills both written and verbal
HW setup knowledge
Good knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like OTA, GNSS, E-Call, Positioning, 4G/5G, Wifi
Good experience in system test methods, processes, error management and tools.
Team player skills with a “can do” attitude.
Understanding about diagnosis topics of a vehicle and about diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control units.
Bonus Points if You Have:
ISTQB Certification
Some experience in Programming/Scripting (one or more languages such as: Python, C#, Java Script)
Knowledge of Virtual Test Environment
Knowledge of QA standards, testing processes and best practices
Experience in working with Agile methodologies
Experience in embedded software projects
